New Course Notification - HAZWOPER: Haz Matters - First Responder
By following the actions of a first responder awareness level worker’s response to a hazardous substance release, this course teaches learners about OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER): First Responder Awareness Level regulation; along with the key aspects of DOT’s Hazardous Materials regulation.
Thirty-seven interactions actively involve the learner in the training. Lesson interactions provide the learner opportunities to apply what he or she has learned. The computer assesses the learner’s level of understanding of all learning objectives. When the learner answers a question incorrectly the computer provides remedial instruction and reviews the material until the learner can answer correctly. All questions in this course are fully narrated. Narrations enhance comprehension and are welcome support for learners with reading skill deficits and when English is the learner’s second language.

New Course Notification - Storm Warnings: Storm Water Pollution Prevention
Storm water pollution occurs any time chemicals, petroleum products, wastes, herbicides, pesticides or other industrial-type materials are washed away with the storm water run-off or snow melt. This course prepares employees and contractors to prevent storm water pollution by teaching the requirements and Best Management Practices (BMPs) of working safely around storm water drains.

New Course Notification - Marine Declaration of Security DOS
Overview
This course trains personnel in the regulatory requirements regarding the completion of the Declaration of Security for vessel to facility or vessel to vessel interfaces. The information in this training is consistent with the requirements in 33 CFR 105 for maritime facility personnel, 33 CFR 104 for vessel crews, and 33 CFR 106 for offshore installation personnel required to complete a DOS. The program material is also compatible with the ISPS Code Section 5A and 5B regarding the Declaration of Security procedures. 21 interactions actively involve the learner in the training. Overview
This refresher course prepares anyone working in or around confined spaces to recognize, evaluate, and control the environment of a confined space. Presented with graphics, text, and complete narration, the course defines a confined space and explains how to recognize and understand atmospheric and physical hazards within confined spaces. The user learns about qualitative and quantitative methods of measurements used in evaluate confined spaces, and how that relates to safe entry. Finally, learner are taught the precautions necessary to maintain safe entry, work, and exit conditions within a Maritime confined space. 26 interactions actively involve the learner in the training.
