New Course Notification - Hydrogen Sulfide H2S Safety
Overview
Anyone working in the oilfield or petrochemical industry - even for a short time, is aware of the many potential hazards present on exploration, production and refining facilities. To work safely around hydrogen sulfide, everyone must be aware of its properties and characteristics. This program teaches the learner to recognize when Hydrogen Sulfide is present in the work area and take necessary precautions to work with Hydrogen Sulfide safely. This course helps fulfill the training requirements of API Recommended Practice 49, ANSI Z390.1 and other regulatory standards. 41 interactions actively involve the learner in the training. Lesson interactions provide the learner opportunities to apply what he or she has learned. The computer assesses the learner’s level of understanding of all learning objectives. When the learner answers a question incorrectly the computer provides remedial instruction and reviews the material until the learner can answer correctly. All questions in this course are fully narrated. Narrations enhance comprehension and are welcome support for learners with reading skill deficits and when English is the learner’s second language.
