New Course Notification - Marine Confined Space

Overview
This refresher course prepares anyone working in or around confined spaces to recognize, evaluate, and control the environment of a confined space. Presented with graphics, text, and complete narration, the course defines a confined space and explains how to recognize and understand atmospheric and physical hazards within confined spaces. The user learns about qualitative and quantitative methods of measurements used in evaluate confined spaces, and how that relates to safe entry. Finally, learner are taught the precautions necessary to maintain safe entry, work, and exit conditions within a Maritime confined space. 26 interactions actively involve the learner in the training. Lesson interactions provide the learner opportunities to apply what he or she has learned. The computer assesses the learner’s level of understanding of all learning objectives. When the learner answers a question incorrectly the computer provides remedial instruction and reviews the material until the learner can answer correctly. All questions in this course are fully narrated. Narrations enhance comprehension and are welcome support for learners with reading skill deficits and when English is the learner’s second language.
