New Course Notification - Security Awareness for the Offshore Oil Industry
Overview
This course presents the specific levels of training required for compliance with the U.S.C.G. Maritime Security Regulations known as the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) and the International Maritime Organization’s International Ship and Port Facility Code (ISPS). The training is consistent with the requirements in 33CFR 106.220 and 104.225 and the ISPS code for personnel working in offshore oil and gas industries. 33 interactions actively involve the learner in the training. Lesson interactions provide the learner opportunities to apply what he or she has learned. The computer assesses the learner’s level of understanding of all learning objectives. When the learner answers a question incorrectly the computer provides remedial instruction and reviews the material until the learner can answer correctly. All questions in this course are fully narrated. Narrations enhance comprehension and are welcome support for learners with reading skill deficits and when English is the learner’s second language.
