Our high-quality, full-screen, full-motion video courses use the highest compression audio/video digital technology available. These “full bitrate” MPEG courses use a modest amount of your network’s bandwidth (1.2Mb/s). However we realize that you probably have some older network connections that can’t handle this data rate and still serve other business needs. Or maybe your other business bandwidth needs are too critical to share even a modest amount of bandwidth on your new high speed connections. Or maybe your workstations are older 486-class computers and adding video decoder cards is out of the question. That’s why Mastery offers “low bitrate” versions of its courses to make interactive video a reality on nearly any network and with nearly any multimedia workstation. Our new low bitrate courses reduce the already frugal bandwidth requirements of our courses by another 90%. That’s right. Our new low bitrate courses use as little as one tenth the bandwidth of our full-screen course versions.
