Interface with your Learning Management System

If you're like most companies, you probably require training content from many suppliers. There isn't a single publishing company that offers all the training you need.

However, you want to make sure the content you acquire from multiple training publishers can be launched from a common platform and update a common database.

At Mastery, we provide course management, recordkeeping, and reporting software with our courses. However, many companies have already selected an Enterprise Learming Management System or have a custom program for managing records. That is why we provide a standards-based interface for communication between our courses and LMS software.

LMS Standards

SCORM Overview
The Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) has become the standard for the tracking of records in learning management systems. It is based on previously developed standards by the AICC (Aviation Industry CBT Committee).

It gives companies the ability to acquire content from multiple providers and still have a single, realtime interface for recordkeeping and administration purposes.

The top LMS companies in the world adhere to this standard.

The Mastery SCORM Interface

The benefit of SCORM is that SCORM content can communicate learner information with any LMS using a standardized method based on Javascript. This specification defines exactly what learner information can be retrieved and updated. This information includes the learner's name, the learner's ID, and the learner's pass and completion status.

MasteryNet courses allow communication with a SCORM compliant LMS. Code built into MasteryNet sends properly formatted learner data back to the LMS during the training session.

Provide the Best Content

One of the major benefits of using a SCORM compliant system is that you don't have to go solely with a single vendor and rely only on their course offerings. If you select an LMS system that supports SCORM and content that can communicate through SCORM, you are able to pick and choose course titles that are of the highest quality and the best match for your company needs.
