Here
are some of the highlights
of this system:
 |

Control the features
below
from the General tab
 |
 |

You can use a touchscreen
or
mouse to control the course.
 |
|

You can select either full-screen
or
1/4 screen video.
 |
|

You can customize the sign-on
and course selection menu to include your company name.
 |
|

The Learner Controls section
lets you
specify whether learners are:
-
allowed to exit training
and go to the Windows desktop, an important security feature
-
allowed to use the Skip
Lesson option on the Control Bar
-
allowed to use the
Forward and Skip option on the Control Bar
-
offered closed captions
when closed caption files are available for a course
 |
|

This is an important network
feature. We allow you to search a whole list of drives for courseware. In
this example, this training station will go out and search on Server Q, Server
S, and Server T. It will list all of the courses on each of the servers and
make it accessible to this training station. No one but Mastery can do
this!
 |
|

This option lets you select
the default language to be used by the Runtime System messages, the Course
Listing and learner orientation lesson.
 |
|

The Mastery Runtime System
includes a Learner Satisfaction Survey that can be automatically administered
at the completion of any course. To activate the survey, just click the radio
button next to the frequency option you want. The survey can be conducted
only after a learners first course, or it can be conducted after every
course. Clicking None turns off the survey.
 |
|

The standard learner sign-on
screen asks the learner to enter a nine-digit social security number. You
can tailor the learner sign-on to ask for other ID numbers (maximum nine
characters broken into a maximum of three segments).
 |

Control the features
below
from the Courseware tab
 |
|

You can tell the system what
courses you would like active on the course listing menu that the learners
will see.
 |
|

You can scramble the order
of the questions.
 |
|

Follow-up Review is a unique
feature of Mastery courseware. When this feature is activated, the system
will remember the problem areas from a learners previous session in
a course. When the learner returns to the course it will give a review of
those problem areas. This will help reinforce difficult concepts. This feature
dramatically improves long term retention of course material.
 |
|

The Express feature streamlines
the entire training session. It can save a lot of training time if you want
your workers trained in a single session. Basically, it eliminates all the
menus. When learners start the course it will automatically take them through
all lessons and quizzes without them having to make lesson selections. It
will play the first lesson and quiz, then the second lesson and quiz, and
so on until it finishes the last lesson. After learners finish the last lesson,
it congratulates them and automatically signs them off and returns them to
the sign-on screenready for a new learner.
 |
|

Every course has an option
for a pre-test. You can make the pre-test optional to the learner, not available
to the learner or required by the learner.
 |
|

If youve assigned a
different course ID to a Mastery course in your other Human Resource systems,
enter that course code here. This will provide a link with your other HR
databases which will be used during data exports.
 |
|

You can use Training Manager
to administer non-Mastery courses too. You can add some of the Mastery Advantage
to other publishers computer based courses and even instructor-led
classes and off-site seminars. Click here to learn
how you can use the Mastery administration and management systems to
manage all your training.
 |
|

If you
offer this course in more than one language,
you can specify which language should be used on a particular system to eliminate
the user selecting the language at the start of the session.
 |
|

We directly support all forms
of CD-ROM Jukeboxes and disc changers/towers. Simply enter the drive letter
assigned to each course title.
 |

Control the features
below
from the Learner Data tab
 |
|

You can require that students
be pre-enrolled by you, or allow
learners to enroll themselves.
 |
|

You can choose between two
different methods to easily change how mastery is calculated. You can also
adjust mastery percentages with Modify.
 |
|

Use this option to enter
learner completion data for classroom, seminar, and other forms of non-computer
based training that you want to include in the Training Requirements management
and STARS reporting systems. |
